I hope all 3 of these make it, otherwise it will just be a tease because this taste panel is now accepting only “wait list”.

Nice review, those chunks in there really reminded me of my (obviously) favorite flavor of theirs – Smores.

There’s a lot of similarities between this and the S’mores bar, and I have them both ranked pretty high on the list as a result. If you’ve got yourself on the wait list, I’m optimistic you’ll get accepted soon. The last time I checked, these three bars were on backorder. I’ve got to assume there’s a second wave coming and that they’ll accept some of the waitlisted.

I look forward to trying the blueberry. I’m not a huge chocolate fan and was so hoping for a “spice, carrot cake” or similar bar this time. Pumpkin without the annoying coating would be a winner too I bet. Thanks for the review.

    Great review, love your site!
But you must try the new Kirkland Protein Bars from Costco! They taste just like the Quest bars with even – many think better – but no Sucralose, less fat, more fiber, and the same protein and calories.
They come in a box of 20 bars with half Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and half Fudge Brownie for only $17.99 for 20 bars in the store. Less than a dollar a bar and they taste the same – I think much better – with no artificial sweeteners!
My new favorite protein bar!!! Please try them, you won’t be disappointed!

Unfortunately I don’t have a Costco membership! But I will try and find a way to try them after this glowing review.

The calories are actually 190 for the newly release blueberry muffin bar (they were 180 in the labs). I find the oatmeal cookie one much more delicious (softer and more chunks) than the labs version, and the calorie content on that flavor also went up. Hopefully this is a good thing then, since I liked blueberry muffin in the labs more than any of them so hopefully I’ll like it even more now, if that’s possible!

Good info Caitlin! I didn’t revisit the nutritional info when I re-published the review. So far I thought the oatmeal chocolate chunk and blueberry muffin both tasted the same as what I remember from the labs version. I’ve found the firmness and density of chunks to vary from bar to bar, even with all the regular flavor offerings. I’m with you that the blueberry was the best.
