REVIEW: Flamin’ Hot Ruffles

The following review is in the “Quick Bite” format. These are basically rapid-fire reviews without the lame story and full array of images. Today’s Quick Bite is:

Ruffles Flamin’ Hot Chips

Description: Ruffles Flamin’ Hot Chips have the same deliciously tangy seasoning as the GOAT Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. If you like that seasoning like most of the world, these chips are a safe bet to satisfy. However, one key difference I noted is that the heat comes on much later. With the light grease of the chips, Flamin’ Hot Ruffles doesn’t seem to reach the same fiery apex that Flamin’ Hot Cheetos do. I definitely prefer the pairing with the corn-based Cheeto over the potato chip format.

That comparison notwithstanding, Flamin’ Hot Ruffles are still a good combination of heat, garlic & onion, and even a mild cheesiness from some Romano cheese. Helping their cause is the fact that Ruffles will forever and always destroy plain chips. The ridges do a damn good job holding as much seasoning as possible on every chip, even if they’re messy AF.

  2. What is your favorite Ruffles ChipsAll Dressed.
  3. Cheetos Puffs or Cheetos Crunchy? Crunchy!

    It would nice to try the new chip, but I have look in 10 stores and not one of them carry the Flamin Hot Ruffles. Could you tell me why they are not in store in Phoenix?
