REVIEW: Nabisco Apple Pie Oreos
You know that classic scene in the movie American Pie where Jason Biggs humps his dessert?
You might wanna look away now…
Nabisco Apple Pie Oreos are here at last, and my food boner could not be stronger than it is right now.
How is it that we got Blueberry Pie, Key Lime Pie, and some freakin’ Mud Pie before we got to Apple Pie Oreos? Apple is the Lord of the Pies, after all, and all other pie flavors have just given me blue balls in anticipation of this very moment. Sorry I’m so disgusting…
But yeah, I’m probably gonna get weird with these cookies.
The graham flavored cookies returns for Nabisco Apple Pie Oreos, which also featured an artificially and hopefully delightfully flavored apple pie creme. The cookies smell of cinnamon and graham foremost, with hints of tart apple layered in the background. My hunger is basically throbbing.
I sampled the creme first as part of my foreplay ritual. Nabisco got so many things right here with one of their more accurate cremes in recent memory. I tasted cinnamon-dusted apple first with a dash of nutmeg trailing behind. The apple flavoring, something I consider hard to pull off, really came through in a genuine way. The spice flavoring ensures the creme isn’t too sweet. If anything it could be a touch sweeter, but it’s undeniably delicious.
If this is your first time having the graham flavored wafer, the main difference is that it’s much less sweet than the Golden one. It really tastes nothing like graham crackers, but neither does an apple pie crust. Its less sweet quality allows that sexy, caramelized apple flavor to shine through. Really yummy. I can’t say for certain that I enjoy them more than the Blueberry Pie Oreos, but I’m confident in saying they’re more accurate. For that, Apple Pie Oreos are deserving of some positive attention. Attention they shall get…
And when they say things are “as easy as pie,” boy were they not kidding. I hardly even had to beg for this.
In summary, I f*cked some Oreos today.
