Ohhh, I see some churro-flavored finger hats in my future… ?
Churro Bugles
I’ve really gotta hand it to Bugles (see what I did there?). They could have easily just called these “Cinnamon Sugar Bugles”and I would have walked right on by them. But put them in a bright purple bag and slap the word “Churro” on there?
… Churro Finger Hat Party!
There’s a nice dusting of cinnamon & sugar on these finger hats – as to be expected. It’s not something on the level of Cinnamon Toast Crunch (God, what is?) but the sugary and spice give these a lot of flavor on the surface.
The buttery flavor that’s common to all Bugles actually works well enough to propel this from straight “cinnamon sugar” to something closer to a churro. But the overall “corn” flavor of a Bugle is still quite strong – keeping them from achieving full-blown churro.
It’s a nice hybrid, though it feels a little disjointed at times.
Churro Bugles definitely aren’t bad – especially not in small doses. But the more I ate, the more I started noticing the little things (like the salt) that made me wish I was eating a more savory or a sweeter Bugles flavor as opposed to this Churro-Corn hybrid that sits right in the middle. Maybe a touch more sugar would have gotten them over that hump.
I was going to close this review with a photo of my Churro Finger Hats, but turns out my fingers are too fat to fit into Bugles these days.
Burning Questions:
- What else are you too fat to fit into? Clothes.
- Who wants to eat a salty churro anyway? They’re not THAT salty.
- Can you recommend a better website than this one? Yes.
