Hershey’s has a brand new candy bar, and it’s already sporting some impressive hardware:
Hershey’s Gold Peanuts & Pretzels!
Hershey’s is an official sponsor of the United States Olympic Committee, and this new Hersey’s Gold debuts with the 2018 Winter Olympic Games right around the corner.
A gold medal isn’t too shabby for a candy bar that no one has ever tried. Multiple unconfirmed reports have surfaced identifying the other concept teams that joined Peanuts & Pretzels on the podium at the pre-trials:
Hershey’s Silver Salt & Pepper
Hershey’s Bronze Macaroni & Cheese
Hershey’s Gold Peanuts & Pretzels is not chocolate, but rather a new caramelized creme base with crushed peanuts and pretzels embedded throughout.
A whiff of creamy peanut butter greeted me as I met the champion for the first time. The candy bar has the same crisp firmness as Hershey’s chocolate candy bars, and similarly, it melts rapidly as you chew.
This is my first encounter with caramelized creme (that I’m aware of, anyway), and I think I just fell in love.
The best comparison is peanut brittle, but Hershey’s Gold Peanuts & Pretzels is creamier with a more subtle sweetness that I find delectable and triumphant. It’s like a blend of peanut butter and caramel that’s much more smooth and sophisticated than it sounds.
The bits of peanuts and pretzels deliver a very noticeable salty crunch that takes this next-level. Truly, the ratios are on point. Precision is a must at the Olympics – even if the field includes flavors like Hershey’s 4th Place Spaghetti & Meatballs.
Where it places at the 2018 Games in PyeongChang remains to be seen, but I hope America is as endeared with this candy bar as I am.
Because it’s as good as gold.
Hershey’s Salt & Pepper Rating: 2nd out of 10
Hershey’s Macaroni & Cheese Rating: 3rd out of 10
Overall Rating: 9.5 out of 10

I agree, this bar is stupendous. Hershey really knocked it out of the park. I hope it becomes as common as their other varieties.
As do I!!! We as Americans have a duty to fully support our champion. People better buy this.
I picked a couple of these up today strictly because of your review and have to say thank you so much for the review!! I’ve actually passed by these a couple times in the store and after just trying one, it’s definitely going to be one of my favorites.. this candy bar is phenomenal! Keep up the awesome reviews! ?
Jenn!! This is why I do this… I’m so glad you liked this as much as I did. It seems so innocent right? It’s tough for a lot of people to pull the trigger since it’s not chocolate, but everyone who does will be super rewarded.
