REVIEW: Post Fruity Pebbles Crisps

by Junk Male · February 8, 2021

You know these days there are many alternatives to classic potato chips, and there’s something for everybody…

  • Veggies chips if you want less carbs.
  • Taro chips if you want more fiber.
  • Kale chips if you want nutrients.
  • Seaweed chips if you like the taste of the ocean.

But me? I’m cut from a different cloth…

Post Fruity Pebbles Crisps

In a day and age where we have seen Fruity Pebbles become such a popular flavor in everything from milkshakes to bagels, we finally have the equivalent of Fruity Pebbles potato chips. And I can’t say I’m mad about it one bit…

New Post Fruity Pebbles Crisps are crispy rice snacks in what Post says is the classic Fruity Pebbles flavor made for perfect on-the-go snacking with no milk needed. Post has done the research: they claim that nearly 40% of consumers say they eat cereal as a snack, and 13% report eating cereal on the go. Well, I have also done the research: it’s really hard to get Fruity Pebbles into your mouth when you’re driving, without also getting Fruity Pebbles in your cupholder, center console, and crotch.

All of that fixes with new Fruity Pebbles Crisps.

Post Fruity Pebbles Crisps

I’m really not sure how they made these. Surely they didn’t just glue a bunch of Fruity Pebbles together, but that’s what it looks like. They’re more or less completely smooth, but every once in a while you find what feels like a rogue, singular Fruity Pebble.

Texture wise, these share a resemblance to Popchips. Flavor wise? They’re like Fruity Pebble rice cakes.

Post Fruity Pebbles Crisps

I have to be honest: I went through a range of emotions when I ate the Fruity Pebbles Crisps before landing on my final verdict. Make no mistake, these pack a strong burst of Fruity Pebbles flavor (that’s good). However, they’re not nearly as sweet as the cereal (that’s bad, I think.) The nutrition facts show that 17 crisps only contains 5 grams of sugar, which is probably a good thing (who knows!)

But then, as I kept shoving these Fruity Pebble potato rice chips into my mouth, one after another, I realized I f*cking love them. It’s a great way to get your Fruity Pebble fix without any milk and without any mess, no matter where you’re sitting.

I do realize these won’t be for everyone; without the extra sugar, some may feel slighted. But me?

Bring out the onion dip because I may have a new favorite chip.

Burning Questions:

  1. Ew, you’re not really gonna do that are you? You’re right… buffalo chicken.
  2. Are these salty or are they sweet? Neither especially, but more sweet.
  3. Are these baked or fried? Who the f*ck cares, they’re Fruity Pebbles!
