Did you ever smell one of those dessert-scented candles that smelled so good you wanted to eat it?
Well now you can!
Trader Joe’s Cinnamon Bun Spread
Ok maybe a melted one, but thanks to Trader Joe’s you can now get melty cinnamon bun wax in a jar to spread on stuff.
Or spread on nothing! Trader Joe’s Cinnamon Bun Spread is what dreams are made of: a rich gooey honey butter base spread with cinnamon bun spices, aka it is spoonable cinnamon rolls. Do you normally spread cinnamon rolls onto other things? You can (and we will), but you don’t have to.
It is perfectly acceptable, as declared by me, to spoon and tongue this candle like you’re trying to lock it down for life.
And lock it down you should!
This may not have the floury dough component to make it perfectly cinnamon bunny, but it’s certainly heading in the right direction with all the other important notes. Ingredients include honey, butter, milk, cream, brown sugar, cinnamon and vanilla, so it certainly has the right flavors to replicate gooey cinnamon filling and glaze. Most importantly, it tastes great and doesn’t disappoint like Trader Joe’s Carrot Cake Spread last year.
Consistency wise, I’m surprised how smooth it is. It has a texture more like caramel or dulce de leche than it does a gritty frosting. But what it lacks in grit, it more than makes up for with being a cinnamon bun in a jar.
So other than nothing, what else is Trader Joe’s Cinnamon Bun Spread good with?
I picked up some of Trader Joe’s Organic Pumpkin Bread and this spread absolutely complimented it well. I also tried some on some store-brought brownies I had lying around (because I’m fat), and it livened them up quite well. Just fatstorming over here, but I suspect graham crackers, ice cream, and even a sweet potato would work wonderfully as well.
Spread the love, fam. Spread it hard.
- This can’t be healthy. Yeah but what is?
- Salad. Not if you put Cinnamon Bun Spread on it…
- Is that what you did? …yes.
