When I eat fruit, I like to know which fruit I’m about to eat. This is a reasonable request because while I generally enjoy fruit, I don’t enjoy all fruit.
Finally, the Froot Loops for people who don’t like Froot.
New Wild Berry Froot Loops are here, and at least we have some idea what we’re about to eat.One of the most frustrating things about regular Froot Loops is that nobody knows exactly what flavor they are. They’re fruity and sugary and corny, but good luck identifying the flavor to anyone. Kellogg’s marketing department has sold the introduction of new colors through the years as new flavors – for example, Kellogg’s introduced “colossal lime” in 1991. However they’ve since acknowledged that each Loop bares the same flavor, so that’s some bullshit right here.
Basically, Froot Loops are mystery-flavored lies.
With Wild Berry Froot Loops, at least we know the fruit is of the berry variety. Though, I must admit that I’m not sure which berries constitute the “wild” ones.
Maybe Kellogg’s website will share some insight?
Dammit, what am I eating?!
Tucked between the “Wild” and “Berry” in the Wild Berry Froot Loops logo is what appears to be a raspberry, but the ingredient list identifies no real fruit. No help there…
The purple pieces are stars for some reason. Starfruitberry?
Thankfully, whatever they taste like happens to taste pretty good. A little bit of berry tartness is apparent right off the bat, as is the familiar corn flour flavor of classic Froot Loops. It’s kind of like a raspberry, a blueberry, some pomegranate (probably), and a blackberry made love to each other. Or maybe it’s just boysenberry.
No, wait… huckleberry.
…the snozzberries taste like snozzberries!
In what I find a rarity for cereal these days, Wild Berry Froot Loops actually improve in milk.
Something about the milk gives this cereal a smoothie/yogurt vibe that feels fresh and surprisingly nourishing, all the while maintaining its Froot Loopiness. I’m reminded in some ways of Very Berry Cheerios, except instead of using any real fruit, Kellogg’s does it with science (lies).
Kellogg’s Wild Berry Froot Loops are pretty good – definitely better than those Unicorn Froot Loops, and definitely a more significant product extension than those whack ass Froot Loops Bloopers.
Better than regular Froot Loops though? Hell no… I love a good mystery.

Totally agree! None of the knockoff varieties have came close to the original! Can’t go wrong with OG Froot Loops in milk.
At least it’s still an enjoyable change-up! But Froot Loops are so iconic that almost any variety is going to fall under the “it’s not good enough” category lol.
So, there are also fruit-flavored Cheerios. Are those all one flavor as well? Never actually tried them.
It’s been forever since I’ve tried them, but they were all the same flavor too… 95% sure.
