I don’t care if it’ll keep up all night, I don’t care if it stunts my growth, and I don’t even care if it makes me pee for the rest of the day… all I care about is eating a big bowl of Dunkin Donuts caffeinated cereal.
The new Dunkin’ cereals debuts over 30 years after the first Dunkin’ cereal debuted. But because we already have a bunch of donut cereals, Post’s newest branded partnership opts for the coffee route. And that’s totally fine by me! I’m not usually a functional human being until I forage at least 500mg of caffeine into my system by any means necessary.

Post Dunkin’ Caramel Macchiato Cereal
Post Dunkin’ Caramel Macchiato cereal is made with some actual coffee concentrate. Each serving has about 1/10th the amount of caffeine as a cup of coffee. And if that’s not enough justification for why you can (and should) eat 10 bowls of cereal for breakfast, then I don’t know what to tell ya. ?♂️
In addition to the coffee, the Dunkin’ Caramel Macchiato cereal also features caramel-swirled marshmallows.
This is the purest coffee-flavored cereal I’ve had – both in flavor and scent. The pieces look like Cocoa Puffs but are a much lighter shade of brown. The cereal has real coffee concentrate in it, which is the main flavor that I’m getting. They’re pleasantly sweet with a good, heaping dose of sugar used in the recipe.
I’m pretty sure that all of the caramel flavor is coming exclusively from the marshmallows. Quite frankly I’m impressed that these flavored-cereal marshmallows do actually taste different than normal cereal-marshmallows. It adds just enough extra flavor to give the overall cereal some nuance.
While undoubtedly some people are going to crave an even stronger coffee flavor, I think this is a pretty successful flavor. It would go great with your morning cup of coffee. One thing I think they could have done to make it more “Dunkin” is throw hella Munchkins in here, but we’ll have to take things one thing at a time.
