Technically they’re called Reese’s Peanut Brittle Flavored Cups, most likely so people understand there’s no actual peanut brittle inside. Instead, the usual chocolate shell has been replaced with a new peanut brittle flavored creme. And I’m here for it.
The new Reese’s Peanut Brittle Cups are available in Big Cups or Miniatures – no regular cups to be had.
I bought both kinds because… well, I guess I wanted to get fat at two different speeds.
Just opening them, the smell of peanut brittle is unmistakable.
And the taste is pretty spot-on too! The peanut brittle creme shell is very similar to the caramelized creme in the quietly discontinued Hershey’s Gold Peanuts & Pretzels (which, fittingly enough, I compared to peanut brittle at launch). It’s sweet, salty, toasty and delicious, though if you just ate it by itself, I’d argue it could become too rich.
But when your teeth sink into the signature Reese’s peanut butter and you get the wonderful sensation of crunchy peanuts, it balances beautifully and comes together as peanut brittle.
Truly, a ho-ho-humdinger of a holiday treat.

- Did you really just say “ho-ho-humdinger”? Listen, you run out of things to say after five years.
- Will I need dentures after I eat these? Not right away.
- Should I at least schedule a trip to the dentist? Yes.
