For the first time ever, it’s acceptable (and encouraged) to dip French fries in your cereal.
And no, it’s not Ketchup Cereal…
Kellogg’s Wendy’s Frosty Cereal
Yes, everyone’s favorite French fry condiment is now breakfast, thanks to Kellogg’s new Wendy’s Frosty Cereal.
For what I’m pretty sure is the first fast-food-inspired breakfast cereal ever created, Kellogg’s has chosen the Wendy’s Chocolate Frosty as its subject. The cereal combines cocoa-coated corn cereal pieces with chocolatey-flavored marshmallows, all billed as having “Wendy’s Frosty Flavor.” You also get a coupon for a free small Frosty or Frosty-ccino with any purchase in the Wendy’s app, so feel free to round out your breakfast with a Baconator, Spicy Nuggets, and an actual Frosty when you’re finished.
The chocolate cereal pieces look like Cocoa Puffs and – wouldn’t you know it – taste exactly like them too. They of course aren’t identical; General Mills makes Cocoa Puffs while this is a Kellogg’s product. But the hope and the dream is that these would have offered a different chocolatey experience than the majority of chocolate cereals already out there, and sadly they don’t.
There’s also a considerable design flaw with Kellogg’s Wendy’s Frosty Cereal. The chocolatey marshmallows? They’re so tiny they all sink to the bottom of the box. You’ll have to mine through the box just to add a few to your bowl, and then ultimately be disappointed when you realize they taste like regular marshmallows.
In milk, they taste like Cocoa Puffs in milk.
If you’re gonna eat this, I do still strongly encourage you pair it with French fries. If for no other reason, because French fries rule and this cereal sucks.
Burning Questions:
- Is it worth the free Frosty coupon? Not really!
- How did the Fries + Frosty trend start? Because we’re all disgusting.
- What’s next for fast food cereal? Kellogg’s Wendy’s Jr. Cheeseburger Deluxe Cereal.

Yep, best part of this cereal is the frosty you get with another purchase.
Does Dunkin Donuts count as fast food? If so, they have the prior claim. If this product succeeds somehow, I look forward to your review of the Arby’s Big Beef & Cheddar cereal.
