Are you a grown adult who loves the taste of sugary breakfast cereal, but hates how it makes you feel sluggish and sleepy?
Or, are you a simply a child who likes to get real JACKED UP for Saturday morning cartoons?
Whether you’re gearing up for the big meeting or just the next round of Fortnite, light a fire under your ass with some caffeinated cereal!
I don’t care if it’ll keep up all night, I don’t care if it stunts my growth, and I don’t even care if it makes me pee for the rest of the day… all I care about is eating a big bowl of Dunkin Donuts caffeinated cereal.
The new Dunkin’ cereals debuts over 30 years after the first Dunkin’ cereal debuted. But because we already have a bunch of donut cereals, Post’s newest branded partnership opts for the coffee route. And that’s totally fine by me! I’m not usually a functional human being until I forage at least 500mg of caffeine into my system by any means necessary.
This review is part of a series. Today’s Dunkin’ cereal is:
Post Dunkin’ Mocha Latte Cereal
Post Dunkin’ Mocha Latte cereal is made with some actual coffee concentrate. Each serving has about 1/10th the amount of caffeine as a cup of coffee. And if that’s not enough justification for why you can (and should) eat 10 bowls of cereal for breakfast, then I don’t know what to tell ya. ?♂️
In addition to the coffee, the Mocha Latte Dunkin’ cereal is also cocoa-flavored with latte-swirled marshmallows.
I’m quite impressed that I get a good whiff of a cup of joe when I stick my face in the box. The cereal packs a good punch of coffee flavor right off the bat, and has a nice bitterness to it in part from the coffee and in part to the cocoa. Compared to the last (only) mocha-flavored cereal I had (General Mills Mocha Crunch), the Dunkin’ Mocha Latte cereal definitely has a much more noticeable coffee flavor.
The “latte-swirled” marshmallows might actually have a hint of latte flavor added to them as well, but it’s hard to tell for sure. The important thing is that they’re nice and sweet, and crunchy cereal marshmallows almost always make a cereal better (they certainly do here; it adds a creamy, sugary sweetness like you’d want in good coffee.)
There’s not much more to it than that. Post’s Dunkin’ Mocha Latte cereal is basically Cocoa Puffs with marshmallows and a good hint of coffee added, with the added bonus of some caffeine.
