REVIEW: Reese’s Outrageous! Stuffed with Pieces

by Junk Male · May 16, 2018

Remember that old slogan from the 90’s, “There’s no wrong way to eat a Reese’s?”

Boy we’re still trying to find it, huh…

Reese’s Outrageous! Stuffed with Pieces

Reese's Outrageous! Stuffed with Pieces

The Reese’s Nutrageous is pretty much perfect, so this does feel a little wrong. But Reese’s just keeps on stuffing itself with itself, and I’m not sure I ever want them to stop…

We’ve had Reese’s Stuffed with Pieces. We’ve had Reese’s ice cream stuffed with Reese’s and  Mini Pieces. Some would say these items are crazy… preposterous… iniquitous.

But this time…

It’s truly…

Reese's Outrageous! Stuffed with Pieces

Don’t make me say it.

The Reese’s Outrageous! Stuffed with Pieces is a remixed Nutrageous candy bar. The milk chocolate, peanut butter, and caramel remain, but the peanuts have been replaced with Reese’s Pieces candy.

It looks like an outrageous turd.

Reese's Outrageous! Stuffed with Pieces

You already know how good Reese’s peanut butter is, and don’t make me sell you on how good it is with caramel. It worked with the regular Nutrageous, it worked with the seasonal Reese’s Clusters, and it certainly works here with Reese’s Outrageous!

The only part of this review that matters is how well it works with Reese’s Pieces instead of peanuts.

The most glaring observation is that unlike the regular Reese’s Stuffed with Pieces, the Pieces make a big time impact on the final flavor profile of Outrageous! The candy shells and their signature flavor find a way to pop considerably in this sea of peanut butter, without distracting from the caramel. The texture is simply wonderful too, with a noticeable and satisfying crunch in every single bite.

So is it better than a Nutrageous? Depends on your preference, but I’m going to say probably not. The peanuts in a Nutrageous make for a slightly saltier peanut butter profile, whereas the Pieces make it even sweeter. This might be your new favorite candy bar if you prefer sweet over salty. But me?

I think they should have stuffed both in there.

And then covered it in Reese’s Puffs.

And then put it inside a Reese’s Donut.

And then put that insi…

Burning Questions:

  1. Are you ok, Fatass? I’m doing great.
  2. What would you rate a regular Nutrageous? 10 out of 10, duh.
  3. What should Reese’s do next? A white Nutrageous.

Place of Purchase: Speedway, Rite Aid

Rating: 9 out of 10
