Quick Bites are rapid-fire reviews without the lame story – just the important points.
Today’s quick bite is:
Rold Gold Flamin’ Hot Thin Crisps
It takes a big man to admit this, but…
I, Junk Banter, am a little Flamin’ Hot bitch.
I will buy anything Flamin’ Hot… absolutely anything. This is rarely a recipe for disappointment (by rare I mean never), and Rold Gold Flamin’ Hot Thin Crisps are not going to be the exception.
Normally I prefer my pretzels round and twisted, but these Flamin’ Hot Thin Crisps are flat out great. The pretzel crisp formula actually works to their advantage because there’s plenty of surface area to catch that delicious seasoning, and man oh man are these things loaded with it. Just to put things in proper perspective, I was snacking on these in bed and afterwards, my sheets looked like a murder scene.
Rold Gold Flamin’ Hot Pretzel Crisps have a more delayed heat than what the Flamin’ Hot Cheetos offer, but that heat definitely comes through strong late, and then it lingers. A little onion, garlic and cheddar provide familiarity, while the added salt from the new pretzel vehicle provides some character. The application is a simple one, but there’s lots to appreciate here.
Basically, I’m glad I’m such a little bitch.
Buy these if you’re a little bitch too.
Burning Questions:
- Are these better than the Flamin’ Hot Cheetos? Not quite.
- Are they better than the Flamin’ Hot Ruffles? Definitely.
- Why are you such a little bitch? Baby, I was born this way.
