Nestle just teamed with someone to make the world’s hottest ice cream and you won’t BELIEVE who it is!

The popular clickbait specialists at Buzzfeed have teamed with the popular ice cream “specialists” at Nestle to create a brand new, can’t miss, won’t-believe-it-’til-you-see-it line of ice cream called Tasty.
Tasty is also the name of Buzzfeed’s food network, which also happens to be the largest social food network in the world with over 90 million followers on Facebook and another 30-plus million on Instagram at the time of this writing. The large followings shouldn’t come as a surprise as we’re all familiar with how Buzzfeed markets its content with attention-grabbing headlines, an over-reliance on cliffhangers, and a pure focus on whatever topics (or in this case, flavors) are likely to generate the most buzz… even if they’re totally just piggybacking off the hard work and lessons learned of others.
Anyway to see why this new ice cream line TOTALLY RULES, check out this slideshow below… which totally isn’t designed to artificially inflate page views and advertising revenue.

Now if you didn’t feel like clicking through that slideshow because it’s totally annoying with little payoff, allow me to explain. Nestle/Tasty’s new ice cream only comes in limited edition flavors; that is, once they sell out in stores, they won’t replenish. Tasty will simply move onto another batch of limited edition flavors and then keep repeating with creative, boner-inducing flavors designed to photograph well for social media.
WE TRIED TASTY’S NEW ICE CREAM SO YOU DON’T HAVE TO, AND THE RESULT MAY OR MAY NOT BE WHAT YOU MIGHT THINK:
This review is part of a series. Today’s Tasty ice cream is:
Tasty Chocolate Caramel Pretzel Crunch
Tasty Chocolate Caramel Pretzel Crunch, which we suspect is probably the favorite ice cream of many famous people, describes itself as follows:
Between the pretzel bites floating inside a rich chocolate ice cream and the salted caramel swirl, this is sure to satisfy any craving… it won’t be around for long!

So first we have the “rich chocolate ice cream.” It’s just *Nestle’s* chocolate ice cream, and it isn’t exactly rich. But overall, it’s a smooth milk chocolatey ice cream that can get the job done if you’re having a bad day.
A little more impressive than that are the pretzels scattered throughout. It’s an added surprise that the pretzel pieces are covered in chocolate coating, as it helps preserve the pretzels’ crunch and makes for a solid mix-in. It adds bursts of saltiness that complements the chocolate pretty well.
Read about the highly anticipated salted caramel swirl after the jump!!!
There is basically no salted caramel swirl.
I swear to you, I thought my pint was defective with how little-to-no caramel I could locate. I dumped the entire pint into a bowl and I searched and I searched. At times I thought I tasted a little bit of salted caramel, but it was hard not to dismiss this saltiness as a mere side effect of the pretzel pieces. Even if there is a small amount in here, which I’m sure there is, it’s not a good sign when you have to specifically question its mere existence.
What you’re left with in Tasty’s Chocolate Caramel Pretzel Crunch ice cream is just chocolate with chocolate-covered pretzels – an uninspired concoction that just isn’t worth the $6.99 price of admission I had to pay.
I’ll exit with a headline that Buzzfeed would be proud of…
