People often ask me in that dream I had once, “What’s the best part about running a hugely popular food blog?” Is it giving people something to smile over while sipping their morning cup of coffee? No. Is it having a convenient excuse to eat literally everything ever created? Not even. Is it the thousands of women that throw themselves at me each and every day? Partly. But the biggest thing is being able to write about anything I want, regardless of whether anybody is reading it or cares (they’re not and they don’t).
There is no backstory behind tonight’s review. I’ll spoil this right off the bat… tonight I’m going to review two products that I love just because I want you all to know how much I love them. These products are the new Nature Valley Biscuits with Peanut Butter and Nature Valley Biscuits with Almond Butter.
When I found these Nature Valley Biscuits with Peanut Butter and Nature Valley Biscuits with Almond Butter back in December, they didn’t strike me as something I needed to blog about. I bought them both for two simple reason: I have a nut butter addiction and I have a granola addiction. Peeling back the curtain, I eat healthy 90% of the time… ok, 80%… alright fine… 75% of the time, I do pretty good. The rest is just an absolute train wreck and it’s what you guys most often read about here. These Nature Valley Biscuits are somewhere in the middle of the spectrum; they’re pretty much just whole grain cookie sandwiches. Once I tried them, though, I felt obligated to tell you all how mouth-watering and satisfying these are. I feared that many of you would sleep on this product at first glance. You would be making a terrible mistake. Read on.
Nature Valley Biscuits with Peanut Butter feature two honey biscuits with peanut butter filling. Each sandwich is 190 cals with 10g of fat, 21g of carbs, 5g of protein, and 8g of sugar. These biscuit sandwiches are enormous; there’s no question you’re getting your money and calories worth. They smell like a jar of honey roasted peanut butter through and through. As soon as you bite in, you unleash some of the finest quality peanut butter flavor you’ve been treated to this side of commercial processed snacking. The biscuits themselves are delightfully multi-textured thanks to the whole grain rolled oats scattered throughout. Nature Valley Biscuits with Peanut Butter have a honey-sweetened graham cracker profile to them, and there is sooo much fluffy peanut butter layered between. You know what these remind me of ? Do-si-dos Girl Scout cookies. I shit you not. Healthy or not healthy – I don’t care. Get this, now.

And THESE GUYS. Don’t even get me started on these guys.
Alright, let’s get started on these Nature Valley Biscuits with Almond Butter. Each sandwich is 190 cals with 10g of fat, 23g of carbs, 3g of protein, and 11g of sugar. These replace the two honey biscuits with two cinnamon biscuits, and replace the peanut butter filling with an almond butter one. Do you like speculoos cookie butter? Do you like Cinnamon Toast Crunch? I taste elements of both in Nature Valley Biscuits with Almond Butter. I honestly and truly do. My God, you guys. They have the same crispy delicateness as the peanut butter version, the same whipped texture with the almond butter, and the same awesomeness all around. Though the biscuits are spiced with cinnamon and that is definitely the lead flavor, there’s traces of honey noticeably layered underneath making it the more complex of the two. Which one you’re going to like more is a matter of personal preference on peanuts vs. almonds and cinnamon vs. honey, but for me the winner is Nature Valley Biscuits with Almond Butter. Can’t go wrong either way, though.

In summary, buy both of these always and forever. I don’t give out 9’s lightly. These rank as two of the best items I’ve reviewed to date.
