Pillsbury Cinnabon Cookies are back on shelves! Please find our review below:
Inspiration is everywhere, you just have to be looking. ~ Someone, probably.
Guys I cannot stop looking at these Pillsbury Cinnabon Cinnamon Roll Cookies…
I’m so inspired right now that I could just… make cookies and eat them by myself!
The newest Pillsbury break-and-bake cookie is inspired by Cinnabon Bakery. If I really think about it, every action I’ve ever taken is inspired by a recent, future, or current trip to Cinnabon Bakery.
Pillsbury Cinnabon Cinnamon Roll Cookies are made with real cinnamon and cream cheese flavored chips. At best, the cream cheese chips will call to a mind a Cinnabon’s icing. And if they’re fully inspired by Cinnabon, they’ll also contain hints of teriyaki chicken samples from the adjacent Asian restaurant in the mall food court. At worst, they’ll just taste like snickerdoodles.
Not a bad worst case scenario…
I was so inspired that I ignored the warning and consumed the raw cookie dough. What unbelievable inspiration this was. The cookie dough tastes like the soft, fluffy innards of a Cinnabon. The cinnamon is concentrated in pockets that taste just like that brown goop swirled throughout a Cinnabon. I could move mountains with all the inspiration and various other feelings flowing through me as I wait for these to bake.
The prepared cookies are crispy and crumbly and resemble the browned outer edges of a Cinnabon. You know that floury flavor of dough on the inside of a cinnamon roll? Swap that flavor out with one of the best sugar cookies you’ll ever eat in your life. Seriously, Pillsbury does it best.
While I couldn’t taste all the nuances of the cream cheese flavored chips, I’m absolutely willing to overlook this. It’s only because my mouth was so overcome with Cinnamon Toast Crunch-flavored delicious the entire time I chewed. The chips do provide an extra burst of sweet to balance out the spices.
I can’t gush about these cookies enough.
Note to the world: somebody please make a Cinnabon glaze-flavored frosting that I could spread atop these cookies. I will blog about it every single day for the rest of eternity. For what I’m about to say, I do not say often.
Listen to me very carefully…
These cookies are perfect.

Can you buy little containers of icing from an actual Cinnabon? Seems that would be something to spread on the cookies.
Jeez, my teeth hurt just typing that!
Definitely needs the Cinnabon icing packet to drizzle over (like the smores filled and Carmel brownie cookies)
Think there’s a way to make them chewier…? I put slices of bread in my prepared cookies bag to moisten them which made them MORE flavorful, but still crumbly…??? I’m almost tempted to mash all the 12 precut pieces together, and blend with something that’ll make the density less crispy, thickets, and chewier…???
I would think just underbaking them would do the trick, no? I PREFER my cookies crumbly, so these are absolutely ideal for me.
