If you’re a cookie that Nabisco makes, chances are Post is gonna make you into a cereal this year.
Post Nilla Banana Pudding Cereal
After successful runs with Oreo O’s, Honey Maid S’mores Cereal, Chips Ahoy! Cereal, and Nutter Butter Cereal in the past year alone, Post has just rolled out Golden Oreo O’s and – the real surprise – Nilla Banana Pudding Cereal. The centerpiece of each one is a Nabisco product.
The surprising part isn’t the Nilla wafers, but the banana pudding part. Nilla Wafer Banana Pudding has been a popular back-of-the-box recipe since about 70 years before I spoke my first words, which were: “Are you going to finish that – DADA!”
Layers of Nilla wafers, sliced bananas, custard/pudding, and meringue/whipped cream have been fattening people – particularly in the South – for damn near forever, and now Post wants us to eat some for breakfast.

For Post’s take, we have Nilla wafer-shaped discs with banana flavor and cereal marshmallows.
The cereal pieces are corn-based like Cookie Crisp, except instead of tasting like nothing, they have artificial banana flavor. The banana flavor is one of the best ones that chemicals have ever yielded – tastes like banana instant pudding. Each piece is bursting with a ton of flavor that’s so good I would enjoy this even without the marshmallows.
But then there’s marshmallows! Cereal Rule #1 states that you’re instantly better with marshmallows.
It’s kind of funny that Post just tossed in some marshmallows to simultaneously capture pudding and whipped cream, but there’s something that just works so incredibly well here.
The crunchy, sugary corn pieces are about as much “Nilla Wafer” as a cereal can be. Hitting some marshmallows adds a creamy sweetness that likens to pudding – if you just close your eyes and let it happen. Milk only amplifies this effect, and there’s very minimal flavor loss when you add it. Such a technically sound cereal.
Post Nilla Banana Pudding Cereal is not only the best cookie-turned cereal in this Nabisco line, but it’s the best cereal that I’ve had in years.

When is the banana pudding cereal coming to stores I can’t find it anywhere I want this cereal
It’s been out in Walmart stores for a few weeks now! Might have to check a couple locations in case your closest one hasn’t put it on shelves yet. End cap or center aisle display.
