Want to know something incredibly interesting about toffee?
Too bad – it doesn’t exist!
Nabisco Toffee Crunch Oreos
So as you strap yourself in to read the most uninteresting Oreo review of all time, here are a few fun facts about toffee from our friends over at WhoGivesAShit.com:
The history and origins of toffee are so convoluted that it’s impossible to find a historically accurate answer.
ARE YOU HAVING FUN YET?!
The earliest documentation of toffee anywhere comes from the Oxford dictionary in 1825.
Toffee didn’t exist until somebody could define it?
The earliest toffee recipes called for rum.
You might need some to make it through this review!
Nabisco Toffee Crunch Oreos are the newest Oreo in the lineup. They feature the chocolate wafer and a toffee flavored creme with sugar crystals for extra crunch. And buckle yourselves up, because these will be around for a while as a permanent offering.
And if I could describe how they taste in one word, it would be…
Uninteresting!
Toffee Crunch Oreos don’t even taste like toffee, honestly. The inside reminds me much more of maple than toffee, which I think worked much better on the Golden wafer (See Maple Creme Oreos). The hope and dream would be that these taste like a Heath bar, but they kind of just taste like other chocolate-caramel Oreos that have existed through the years… except more boring. (Example: Caramel Coconut Oreos also had coconut, and Salted Caramel Brownie Oreos had a layer of chocolate and extra salt).
What’s worse is that these Oreos will likely retire a much better Oreo to make shelf space. My guess is its adios to the Carrot Cake Oreos after 3 years. 🥺
My recommendation: Just keep walkin’ right past these Oreos for the foreseeable future and maybe Oreo will get the hint to give us something better.
Burning Questions:
- Boring can be fun sometimes. I bet you looove missionary.
- How would you know anything about sex? I’ve read about it.
- What’s the point of the sugar crystals? They add charact… nothing.

I agree that the chocolate cookie is too much with this. The flavor of the cream is helped a bit with a sprinkling of kosher or sea salt.
