Given their success with these popular snacks, the ambitious Elves now seek to try their hand baking something a little more indulgent: cinnamon rolls!
Well, almost. Old habits die hard, after all, and these Cinnamon Roll Fudge Stripes cookies are as close as we’re gonna get to indulgence from a bunch of supernatural small people.
Keebler Cinnamon Roll Fudge Stripes are the newest entry in the limited edition game for the brand. They follow Peppermint, Pumpkin Spice, Birthday Cake, and Red Velvet Fudge Stripes as flavors that were already Oreos before Keebler did it.
You’ll have to excuse them there, too. The elderly are not known for speed.
Elf jokes aside, opening the package unleashes something magical.
The scent of Cinnamon Roll Fudge Stripes is definitely more “cinnamon roll” than it is “cinnamon-flavored cookie.” It’s an incredibly sweet aroma with a lot of butteriness to it. Another fair comparison is the smell of maple syrup when you’re face down in a fresh stack of pancakes. It’s as if you were walking towards a Cinnabon in the mall, but then were dropkicked in the face by Mrs. Buttersworth.
We’re in for some real indulgence if the taste can live up to the smell.
And oh how it does!
My initial bite of Cinnamon Roll Fudge Stripes brought a strong flavor of icing/glaze. The white confectionery on top of the cookies is generically sweet – a lot like what you spread atop cinnamon rolls. The cinnamon punch comes soon after, intensifying as you chew. It’s a very authentic cinnamon burst and I was delighted to see that Keebler packed real cinnamon into their recipe. It’s pretty high up on the ingredient list and your taste buds will confirm it.
Ready for the bombshell?
I think Keebler executed Cinnamon Roll Fudge Stripes better than Nabisco did Cinnamon Bun Oreos.
The cookie portion of Fudge Stripes is a more neutral dough, flirting with a shortbread flavor. This works a lot better for “cinnamon roll” dough than the cinnamon cookie in Cinnamon Bun Oreos. Combine this base, the sugar icing, and a healthy dosage of real cinnamon in these ratios and you’ve got yourself a wonderful cookie interpretation of the baked dessert. Eventually, you’ll notice that bit of waxy mouthfeel that persists with all Keebler Fudge Stripes, but you’ll definitely be able to overlook it. These taste really great.
The Elves may have had a lot more time to work with, but they finally scored one on Nabisco.

Two of these sandwiched with Cinnamon Roll Oreo Cream….
A little too sweet, you think? Nah jk you’re a genius.
are they the biggest manufacturer simply cause nabisco cookies are made in mexico?
Not quite. Last year Nabisco moved some of its jobs at their Chicago plant to Mexico. Though they no longer make Oreos in Chicago, they still make Oreos at their plants in New Jersey, Oregon, and Virginia. They would still be considered an American manufacturer and their HQ is in New Jersey!
