It’s movie night at Junk Banter, and we’re making s’mores! Well, kind of. Tonight we cozy up with a movie and Angie’s Boom Chicka Pop S’mores Kettle Corn. Whenever I review one of Angie’s creations, I pop on one of the finest movies ever released while enjoying my popcorn. When I reviewed Angie’s Pumpkin Spice and Candy Corn popcorns, that movie was Can’t Hardly Wait. For Angie’s Frosted Sugar Cookie and Hot Cocoa Marshmallow popcorns, it was The Wedding Singer. My third review is Angie’s Boom Chicka Pop S’mores, so I’ve chosen the third greatest movie of all-time. That movie of course is Forgetting Sarah Marshmallow starring Jason Segel.
Poor Jason Segel. I’ve been dumped while naked before – the exact moment she first saw me naked. Angie’s Boom Chicka Pop S’mores features a milk chocolate flavored drizzle, cocoa powder, and natural flavor. Opening the bag unleashes a somewhat strange yet somehow inviting artificial graham scent. The graham flavor must be inherent to the glaze or folded into the chocolate, because there aren’t any small graham pieces or anything like that. Angie claims that one handful of Boom Chicka Pop S’mores will have you “making ooey gooey marshmallow, dreamy chocolate memories.” My best memories of marshmallows are when I pissed off 250,000 marshmallow lunatics.
If rebounds are supposed to look like Mila Kunis, what the hell have I been doing? Angie’s Boom Chicka Pop S’mores has a nice balance of sweet and salty like every fine kettle corn should. Though the chocolate drizzle is inconsistent in quantity, most pieces contain enough to taste the s’mores. And I’ll start with that, because the flavor profile is squarely in the s’mores arena – not just plain old milk chocolate. Some of Angie’s products (like Hot Cocoa Marshmallow) have disappointed because the advertised flavor was a total miss. Angie’s Boom Chicka Pop S’mores gets it right.
If my competition were Russell Brand, I don’t think I could even be mad. Here’s the best way I can describe my feelings on Angie’s Boom Chicka Pop S’mores – the flavor isn’t massive, but what’s there is undeniably s’mores. And because Angie was judicious when applying the milk chocolate drizzle, the s’mores flavor doesn’t overpower the natural flavor of the popcorn. In the words of Paul Rudd, sometimes the less you do, the more you do. That’s what I like most about this product. It’s a popcorn flavored subtly and effectively with s’mores, and not just candied popcorn that’s trying too hard to be the dessert. Some bites favor the popcorn flavor, while others burst with a milky, marshmallow-esque sweetness. All bites are delicious.
DRACULA MUSICAL!!! Though I really, really like Angie’s Boom Chicka Pop S’mores, it’s somewhat shrouded in mystery. The ingredient label is very clear that the chocolate drizzle is milk-chocolate flavored. I’m getting a graham and marshmallow component, and I can’t pinpoint where from. The pieces that don’t contain much or any chocolate drizzle only have a slight, kettle corn sweetness but don’t really scream “marshmallow!” or “graham!” Maybe there’s more layers to the drizzle, or maybe the mind plays connect-the-dots between the glaze and the chocolate. I may be taking a leap of faith, but I’m convinced this is s’mores. This is Angie’s most impressive product to date in my book.
I’m so glad Jason Segel forgot Sarah Marshall, and I’m so glad I got Angie’s Boom Chicka Pop S’mores popcorn. You should get it too. While I think some might crave an even larger s’mores presence, I appreciate how the s’mores elements that are present complement the popcorn in its natural state. This is highly addictive stuff, so add it your carts if you’re lucky enough to find it at your local Target. I have zero regrets about polishing the whole big in one sitting, and I maintain that Forgetting Sarah Marshall is the third best movie of all time.

Where did you purchase your Angie’s S’mores Kettle Corn at? I am very interested in trying it. Thank you and I really enjoy your site.
Hey Regina! So far the only place I’ve seen the Angie’s S’mores popcorn is Target, at a random end cap. I’m not sure if it’s a Target exclusive or not, but given that the S’mores Fiber One bars are Target exclusives, it very well could be. My store didn’t get many, and they sold out fast. I purchased 3 so I am partly to blame. Good luck and thanks for reading!!
