Ever since Tiny Toast suffered a miserable failure (tiny sales), General Mills has spent its creative resources reimagining Cinnamon Toast Crunch in new forms. It introduced Cinnamon Toast Crunch Churros and expanded the Toast Crunch lines with the glorious returns of Chocolate Toast Crunch and Sugar Cookie Toast Crunch, as well as the brand new flavor of Dulce de Leche Toast Crunch. This of course makes so much sense, because bigger toast is better than smaller toast.
The newest seasonal flavor, Apple Pie Toast Crunch, offers us a Thanksgiving Cereal that’s not pumpkin.

General Mills Apple Pie Toast Crunch is the most apple-forward cereal I’ve ever had, but it gets even better. The apple transitions seamlessly to the familiar Cinnamon Toast Crunch flavor you know and love. The flavors work in natural harmony to make something that’s so convincingly “apple pie” – at least as “apple pie” as a cereal could ever hope to attain. It’s a little like eating Cinnamon Toast Crunch with apple sauce instead of milk, and I love it.
It holds up wonderfully in milk, too. It adds some creamy sweetness and the cereal doesn’t lose much of its flavor in the milk bath. Use some vanilla-flavored almond milk (or whatever the most trendy milk-of-the-month is) and you’ll draw some comparison to apple pie à la mode.

How does the flavor compare to Apple Jacks? (I love Apple Jacks overall taste profile, but feel this cereal would have a better texture.)
