Man, when Little Debbie isn’t making us fat, she’s making us fatter!
Little Debbie Ice Cream
It’s official: Little Debbie now has a bigger presence in your kitchen than you do…
As if your pantry wasn’t already a permanent home to Ms. Debbie’s snack cakes (how DID those get in there, anyway?), your lunch box has now invaded your freezer too thanks to SEVEN new Little Debbie Ice Creams that are here to absolutely destroy your diet:
- Oatmeal Creme Pies ice cream.
- Cosmic Brownies ice cream.
- Zebra Cakes ice cream.
- Honey Buns ice cream.
- Strawberry Shortcake Rolls ice cream.
- Swiss Rolls ice cream.
- Nutty Bars ice cream.
The new treats are made by Hudsonville Ice Cream – a brand that’s been around since 1926 that you might not have heard of until February 1st when all 7 of these Little Debbie Ice Creams showed up on your Facebook feed and instantly gave all of your fat deposits an erection.
The ice creams are available exclusively at Walmart, where they’ll be available year-round for just $2.50 a pint!
This review is part of a series. Today’s Little Debbie Ice Cream is:
Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies Ice Cream
Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies ice cream features vanilla ice cream with soft oatmeal cookie pieces and a hint of molasses
Let’s not bury the lead: we’re not off to a good start here at all. As you can see from the picture above, the mix-in density on this one is abysmal. Under the lid and through the first serving of Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies Ice Cream, all I had was a vast sea of vanilla ice cream with merely a couple oatmeal cookie pieces swimming about. It got a little better as I worked further down the pint, but not nearly enough to redeem itself.
When you do get them, the oatmeal cookie pieces have a nice brown sugar & spice flavor with a decent chewy texture.
It’s worth mentioning again that these pints are only $2.50 a pop, and as such you need to lower your expectations since you’re only getting a lighter, fluffier ice cream. On the plus side, the entire pint is less than 700 calories. But unfortunately, you won’t be tempted to eat this entire thing in one sitting (or multiple sittings) since it’s basically just mediocre light vanilla ice cream with barely any oatmeal cookie pieces.
When I read the description for Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies Ice Cream, I had a pretty strong feeling that it would be the most disappointing of the entire bunch.
I was right.
Burning Questions:
- Are there oatmeal CREME PIE pieces in there, or just oatmeal cookies? Just oatmeal cookies.
- That’s lame. I know.
- How did Debbie fuck this up? Well, she’s like seven…
