There was a time in my youth when “eating Cinnamon Toast Crunch” meant, quite literally, eating Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
Boy are those days looooong the f*ck gone.
Cinnamon Toast Crunch milkshakes. Cinnamon Toast Crunch donuts. Cinnamon Toast Crunch another cereal entirely. These are but a few of the cereal-mashups I’ve eaten in the last calendar year alone.
The cereal may speak for itself, but the new Cinnamon Toast Crunch applications roll on with Pillsbury Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cinnamania Toaster Strudel.
Soon all of the things you can eat for breakfast will be replaced with one, singular option.
How are these possibly any different than the Cinnamon Roll Toaster Strudels made with Cinnabon?
Today we find out…
The icing is off-white and speckled lightly with cinnamon. It tastes like another one of the best breakfast options out there – the aforementioned Cinnabon cinnamon rolls. Whether real or imagined, I taste a slight cream cheese component in this icing reminiscent of the signature cream cheese frosting you get slathered on your favorite mall snack.
Now imagine that frosting gets a quick hit of the cinnamon sugar from Cinnamon Toast Crunch?
Baby, you’ve got yourself a fine breakfast.
The filling inside the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cinnamania Toaster Strudel is no cinnamon bomb, but it is quite delicious and complement everything well. It kind of reminds me of the sugary goop holding together an apple pie filling, sans the apples.
Now is probably a good time for me to tell you I’ve never had the Cinnamon Roll Toaster Strudel made with Cinnabon, so I kind of lied to you about being able to make the comparison (sue me). But as the warm filling combines with the toasted pastry dough and cinnamon sugar of the icing, the result does in fact taste like Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal in milk.
All hail the only breakfast you’ll ever need.
