I mean I’m sure this is going to taste great, but who do I have to f*ck to get a packet of sprinkles so I can dress it up like a proper donut… the Pillsbury Dough Boy?

Hey Pillsbury… you’re only as good as a donut if I buy like 27 of you in Chicago in 3 days:
Just like a real gourmet donut, remove one from a cardboard box in your freezer and toast for however many minutes too long at whatever the hell temperature.
The glaze is supposed to taste like glaze, which it does… because it is.
The filling, far as I can tell, tastes the same or similar to the one they use in the Boston Cream Pie Toaster Strudel.
I guess it’s a glazed Boston cream pie donut…
And ya know what? I like it!
While this is almost entirely a credit to smart marketing, I’m really enjoying this here “Glazed Donut” Toaster Strudel. Some people are going to be pissed off that it doesn’t taste like any donut they’ve ever tried, but did you really want the filling to taste like a flavorless cake donut or a plain old fashioned?
What they did instead was swap out the chocolate frosting from the Boston Cream Pie Toaster Strudel and use a more traditional sugary glaze…
And it works.
The flaky pastry has a slight, buttery grease that even reminds me of a croissant at times. Sometimes you just need to relax a little, use your imagination a tiny bit, and tip your cap to some clever marketing.
Ladies and gentlemen… I present to you:
The Glazed Boston Cream Pie Cronut.

This may be a dumb question but I searched around and have you reviewed the BCP toaster strudels? I googled and also scrolled through several months of your Insta and haven’t seen it. :c Anyway thanks for all the great reviews!!
No I haven’t reviewed them, so you’re not crazy! They were already out well before I started my blog, so all my reviews typically focus on new releases (otherwise nobody shows up to read the reviews). They’re good though!
