Have you ever started baking one thing, then halfway through started craving a completely different dessert because you’re a disgusting human?
Happens to the best of us, apparently.
New limited edition Pillsbury Hershey’s Chocolate Brownie Cookies!
Does this seem kind of unnecessary to you? Well, save it. ?? At this point in my life, I pretty much only eat desserts that are actually two desserts. And while a chocolate brownie cookie does sound an awful lot like… a chocolate cookie, the package has the word “brownie” on it and I’m not about to argue with the little marshmallow man. Plus, Hershey’s.
On the other hand if you’re an extremist and brownie cookies aren’t quite enough, the package also includes a recipe for 4-ingredient Hershey’s S’mores Brownies. But I’m trying to live one day at a time, ya know?
Pillsbury Hershey’s Chocolate Brownie Cookies are “moist and fudgy chocolate cookies with Hershey’s semi-sweet chocolate chips.”
The package pleads “Please Do Not Eat Raw Cookie Dough”, but it gives no such warning for raw brownie dough. See you on the dark side…
The raw dough smells and tastes like a Devil Dog baked itself a big ole’ chocolate cake. Very enticing.
That’s actually the most surprising observation – this raw dough that I’m not supposed to eat but totally am right now reminds of a fine, dark chocolate cake batter rather than a highly sweetened brownie dough. Makes me wonder which of the two the final product will taste more like – cake, or brownies.
I’ll find out in a minute – just as soon as I finishing eating this delectable cookie dough.
Unless it kills me first…
And for real, they were spot on when they designed these Chocolate Brownie cookies!
Now I’m not gonna bullshit anyone and pretend this is the most novel thing on the planet, that this is the best brownie you’ll ever eat, and yada yada yada. But what it is is a fantastically chocolatey cookie that’s soft and gooey on the inside with melty chocolate chips, and slightly crisp edges just like any good brownie. In cookie form.
Pillsbury does the break-and-bake game better than anyone, and the Hershey’s semi-sweet chocolate chips add their signature character to ensure high quality.
Plus they’re fat as all f*ck, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream would fit nicely on top for Brownie Cookies à la mode Mode. Dammit, there I go craving more desserts again… ??♂️
So I think it’s safe to say that whenever the Pillsbury Dough Boy decides to make a new dessert – no matter how many desserts they are simultaneously – you trust his fluffy little ass.
