General Mills Blueberry Cheerios
You’ll have to cut me some slack today, guys. I don’t have anything significant to say about blueberries, and neither does General Mills. The back of the box hosts one, singular “Blueberry Fun Fact”:
Did you know that blueberries range in size from a small pea to a marble?
This is an historically unimpressive range and quite easily the least interesting fun fact of all-time.
Here are some other uninteresting Blueberry Fun Facts:
- Blueberries are full of antioxidants.
- There are two types of blueberries: highbush blueberries, which grow on high bushes, and lowbush blueberries, which grow on lower ones.
- That’s all there is to know about blueberries.
The most uninteresting but relevant fact about these Blueberry Cheerios is that they’re made with real blueberry puree concentrate and no artificial flavors.
This review will be light on detail and heavy on comparison, because it’s a rare simple and straightforward cereal.
Blueberry Cheerios have a mild, genuine blueberry flavor. They’re not as tart as Very Berry Cheerios or as vibrant as Strawberry Cheerios. They’re also not as sweet as the dearly departed Blueberry Tiny Toast. Apple Cinnamon Cheerios, Banana Nut Cheerios, and Peach Cheerios are (or were) all more flavorful than this one.
If Boo Berry went on a diet, he would eat this cereal instead.
Still, it manages to be a pretty good- a fair balance of blueberry and oats.
Here’s an uninteresting Blueberry Cheerios Fun Fact: it’s neither better nor worse in milk. But the flavor holds up well and it actually produces pretty tasty blueberry cereal milk. The fact that the flavor doesn’t degrade is a strength.

Buy this cereal if you like blueberries and you like Cheerios; you’ll probably like it, you might not give a shit about it, but you definitely won’t hate it.
