Remember a couple of months ago when Oreo asked us to eat a bunch of cookies for a chance to win $50,000?
(You can actually still find them on shelves, because they’re disgusting.)
Trying Mystery Oreos left little mystery: the creme tasted exactly like Fruity Pebbles, but it was awful, awful, awful on a chocolate wafer.
I reported my guess as Fruity Pebbles, and then polled my office without prompting them.
Here were their responses:
Sure, some people got trendy with guesses like “Cereal Milk” and “Froot Loops.” And yes, there were a few Rich’s out there who totally missed with guesses like “Tangerine” (in his defense, he was eating spaghetti when I forced him to eat a cookie and talk to me about it). But most people knew the creme tasted exactly like Fruity Pebbles. After all, Oreo had done that exact flavor just 16 months earlier.
Today, Nabisco finally revealed the flavor of the Mystery Oreo, and much to our surprise:
You really didn’t need to be Fat Sherlock Holmes to figure this one out.
We reached out to the entire U.S. population for comment, and they all said: “That was my guess, where the f*ck is my $50,000.”
Are you pissed off about the Mystery Oreos? Did you swear they were something else, and now you’re the laughing stock of the town? Let us know in the comments.
And if anyone finds Chante, someone please let her know I have a terrible cookie for her.

I guessed “Fruity Crisp” since they had that flavor before and thats what it was called then..lol
I entered Fruity Crisp, Fruity Cereal, Fruity Pebbles, and even Fruity Butt to cover all the bases.
My dumbass guessed chocolate dipped orange slice…because I was SURE that Oreo wouldn’t rehash the legendary exalted Fruity Crisp…
I was wrong
Take heart, you aren’t the only person who thought that was the flavor.
I know you’re not the only one who applied that logic… but yes, what a dumbass! ?
Am I just making things up in my head, or did they have a flavor a while back that was sort of a fruity pebble flavor without the name-branding? I wanna say it even kinda had like a fruity pebble texture to the crème.
Yes! They were “Fruity Crisp Oreos” and are the ones I refer to as being out 16 months earlier.
